Strong schools are built through partnership, and the County Board plays an important role in bringing people together across districts and communities. Every decision impacts students, families, educators, and staff. Those closest to the work deserve a meaningful voice.

Educators understand what is happening in classrooms every day. Families know their children’s needs and experiences. Students themselves can tell us what supports their success, if we take the time to listen.

At the county level, I will prioritize inclusive, transparent decision-making and work to ensure local voices are reflected in broader policies and programs. By fostering collaboration between districts, families, and community partners, we can strengthen alignment and better support students across Solano County.

The County Board helps oversee key programs, support fiscal accountability, and advocate for the resources our schools and students need. Strong public schools depend on sustained investment and on the educators and staff who support students every day.

Across Solano County, districts face ongoing challenges in recruiting and retaining educators, particularly in high-need areas and specialized programs often supported at the county level. Addressing this requires collaboration between districts, the County Office of Education, and the broader community.

I will work in partnership with educators, families, and local leaders to support policies that strengthen the education workforce, promote fiscal responsibility, and ensure resources are used effectively to serve students. This includes supporting county-run programs that provide critical services to vulnerable student populations.

When we invest thoughtfully and work together across systems, we can strengthen outcomes for students and ensure every school community has the support it needs.
